The practice day began early for most people at The Country Club, Laguna, Philippines in preparation for the centennial staging of the Solaire Philippine Open, the oldest National Open in Asia. None more so than the staff at the Club who have been working tirelessly to make sure the fairways and greens are all at their best. Compliments are abundant on the state of the course and are testament to the organisers of this 100th Solaire Philippine Open.
With the ProAm tomorrow, the a-boards are all in place and the practice round is keeping the players busy; with the wind picking up it is definitely a challenge. As one of the players told us ‘It is a great test here at The Country Club’
